Hydrogen Storage Alloys

Hydrogen storage alloys are metallic functional materials capable of reversibly reacting with hydrogen to form metal hydrides. They are mainly classified into the following types: rare-earth-based (AB₅), titanium-iron-based (AB), magnesium-based (A₂B), and zirconium-based (AB₂). Through physicochemical processes, these alloys enable the safe and efficient storage and release of hydrogen, offering high hydrogen storage capacity, excellent cycling stability, and mild operating conditions. They are widely used in renewable energy storage, fuel cells, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and industrial catalysis.
